This website is being created to provide a comprehensive resource for those people interested in learning more about the field of instructional design. This is where you can learn more about instructional design, especially the various procedures that make up instructional design. It is a place to capture the living history of instructional design and those who played a major role in advancing the field. It is also a place to get up-to-date information about instructional design.


Who Developed this Website
This website was developed by Wallace Hannum who has worked in the field of instructional design for four decades. Currently Dr. Hannum is a professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he has been teaching instructional design for over 25 years. Prior to this Dr. Hannum was a professor at Florida State University. He has published five books, numerous book chapters and articles related to instructional design. Dr. Hannum is actively involved as a consultant to many private organizations and governmental agencies.

As this website evolves it will contain more rich media resources for learning instructional design as well as tips for skilled practitioners of instructional design.
